Because I use technology so much in the classroom, I am always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to “tell a story”, mainly because I am a History Teacher, but that’s besides the point.
A year or so ago I came across Alan Levine’s Cog Dog Roo, his website dedicated to digital storytelling. He wanted to see how many ways he could tell the story of a special dog he had in his life. So, he set out to see just how many ways he could tell that same story.
He stopped after 50.
I return to his site every now and then because of the amazing ways he demonstrates digital storytelling, and a few days ago, I found joggle. As usual, its free, and if you are looking for a quick and easy way to create and share a slideshow with family and friends.. or STUDENTS… then this is for you.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t support any editing of your pictures (such as text on photos, that would be helpful in my case) or at least I couldn’t figure out how to do it if you can. But it IS super easy and fast. Check out the one I created in just a minute or so. Read below from the website:
